Your Personal Year Number — A 9-Year Energy Map

Unlike your Driver or Conductor Numbers — which are fixed for life — your Personal Year Number changes every January 1st. It is calculated from your birth day, birth month, and the current calendar year. Calculation: Birth day + Birth month + Current year digits, all summed and reduced to a single digit.

Example: Born 15 March, current year 2025. 1 + 5 (day) + 3 (month) + 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 (year) = 18 → 1 + 8 = 9. Personal Year 9.

The 9-Year Cycle

The nine Personal Year numbers form a complete cycle — each building on the last. Understanding where you are in the cycle explains why certain years feel like breakthroughs and others feel like consolidation. Year 1 — New Beginnings. The seed year. This is the year to start, to plant, to initiate. Whatever you begin in a Year 1 tends to define the entire 9-year cycle ahead. Resistance to starting here is resistance to your own evolution. Year 2 — Patience and Partnership. Growth is happening beneath the surface. This year asks for diplomacy, cooperation, and trust. Relationships deepen. Rushing is counterproductive. Year 3 — Expression and Creativity. Energy rises. Communication flows. This is the year to create, to express, to socialise. The seeds planted in Year 1 are beginning to emerge. Year 4 — Foundation and Discipline. Building time. This year rewards hard work, structure, and practical effort. It can feel like restriction — because it is: it is the year you build what will support everything else. Year 5 — Change and Freedom. The midpoint of the cycle is always dynamic. Unexpected change is not only possible — it is likely. Travel, new experiences, course corrections. Embrace the instability. Year 6 — Responsibility and Home. Relationships and domestic life come into focus. This year often brings family commitments, creative projects, and questions of belonging. Service to others is rewarded. Year 7 — Introspection and Mastery. A year for inner work: study, meditation, analysis. External results are slower to arrive. This is intentional — Year 7 asks you to understand rather than to achieve. Year 8 — Power and Manifestation. The year of results. Financial decisions, career moves, authority figures, recognition. What you have built across the cycle begins to bear fruit. Ambition is appropriately activated. Year 9 — Completion and Release. The harvest year — and the clearing year. Let go of what no longer serves you, because whatever you carry into the next 9-year cycle must earn its place. Completion is the gift; clinging to the past is the risk.
