Your Name Number — The Vibration Your Name Broadcasts

The Name Number (also called the Expression Number) is calculated from every letter of your full legal birth name. It reflects how the world perceives you — the energy your name broadcasts before you even speak.

Your name carries more than identity. In numerology, every letter corresponds to a numeric value, and the sum of those values — reduced to a root digit — describes your outer expression: how others experience you, the energy you project in professional and social contexts, and how your name resonates with the world's frequency.

This is called the Name Number, or Expression Number. In our 7-Dimension System, we use the Pythagorean mapping (A=1, B=2 … Z=8, cycling 1–9), which is the most widely used system in modern Western and Indian numerology.

The Pythagorean Letter Map

| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | --------------------------- ABCDEFGHI JKLMNOPQR STUVWXYZ

To calculate your Name Number: write your full legal birth name, assign each letter its Pythagorean value, sum all values, and reduce to a single digit (master numbers 11, 22, 33 preserved). Example: ARJUN SHARMA A(1) R(9) J(1) U(3) N(5) = 19 → 10 → 1 S(1) H(8) A(1) R(9) M(4) A(1) = 24 → 6

Total: 1 + 6 = 7. Name Number 7.

What the Name Number Reveals

The Name Number describes your public persona — the face you present to the world. It is distinct from your Driver Number (inner identity) and Conductor Number (life path). Think of it this way: your Driver is who you are when alone; your Name Number is how you appear to others.

Name Number 1 projects authority and independence — others perceive you as a natural leader. Name Number 2 projects sensitivity and diplomacy — others see you as a trusted confidant. Name Number 6 projects warmth and responsibility — you are often the one people turn to for stability. Name Number 7 projects mystery and analytical depth — others may find you initially difficult to read.

Why the Birth Name Matters

The Name Number always uses your full legal birth name — not a nickname, married name, or stage name. This is because the birth name carries the original vibration assigned to you at birth. Changed names create secondary vibrations (which can be analysed separately), but the birth name is the root.

In the 7-Dimension Report

The Name Number carries 10% of your total reading weight — more than Day Number, Lo Shu, and Year, but less than Driver, Conductor, and Combination. Its primary value is in the context it provides for how your internal character (Driver + Conductor) is expressed outwardly.
